Ten years ago every political party in the world was forced to take into account environmental issues by the rising tide of popular awareness. They did this so effectively that the green parties drifted into obscurity. But now the governments and politians who run them have forgotten that they were supposed to continue what they started and implement the harder aspects of environmental policy.
